The Laboratory for Asphalts, Bitumens
and Bitumen-Based Products
Performs:
- tests of asphalt mixes as produced and asphalt layers as placed,
attestation of conformity in accordance with the requirements of currently
valid standards and, in some cases, with special technical conditions
imposed by clients, and the issuing of certificates of conformity,
- tests of bitumens, bituminous waterproofing strips and other bitumen-based
products for road-building and industrial purposes, attestation of conformity
in accordance with the requirements of currently valid standards and,
in some cases, with special technical conditions imposed by clients,
and the issuing of certificates of conformity,
- inspection and approval of technical and technological design documentation
for the execution of asphalting works and of waterproofing works using
bitumen-based waterproofing materials.
The Laboratory also carries out research and development work in the
field of asphalts, bitumens and bitumen-based waterproofing materials,
as well as developing and introducing new test methods.
The Laboratory has been approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology
of the Republic of Slovenia to issue test reports and certificates of
conformity in the field of:
- the obligatory attestation of bitumen-impregnated waterproofing materials
and of bituminous strips.
