The Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute and the Municipality of Bovec kindly invite you to attend
a public application of the new generation of UHPFRC developed within the context of the Log Čezsoški bridge rehabilitation,
which will be taking place on 17th July at 11 a.m. on the Log Čezsoški bridge.
Guests will be welcomed by the Mayor of Bovec Danijel Krivec and one of the ARCHES work package leaders Dr. Aljoša Šajna of the Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute, who will present the course of the rehabilitation works, providing a detailed description of the application of the new generation of the UHPFRC material. The event will also host the two UHPFRC pioneers, Dr. Emmanuel Denarie of Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Laboratory for maintenance and safety of structures, Switzerland) and Dr. Pier Rossi of Laboratoire Central des Ponts et Chaussées (Central Road and Bridge Laboratory, France).
All questions regarding the process or the material itself will be addressed to the
Mayor of Bovec Danijel Krivec, rehabilitation design engineer Bogomir Ipavec (Primorje d. d.), director of Cestno Podjetje Nova Gorica Jože Brecelj, Dr. Aljoša Šajna (ZAG), and other competent attending experts from Slovenia and abroad.
After the presentation guests will be invited to try some of the local gastronomic delicacies.
