Quality management
The Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute (ZAG) has established an integrated management system that includes requirements of ISO 9001, EN ISO/IEC 17025, EN ISO/IEC 17065 and EN ISO/IEC 17020 and takes into account relevant legislation and other requirements arising from the areas of operation of the Institute.
Through its mechanisms, the management system ZAG enables and ensures transparency, traceability, confidentiality, impartiality and independence, as well as professionalism and responsibility. Through third-party accreditation, certification and authorization, we prove that the services we provide to our customers and partners maintain a high level of quality.
The ZAG’s management system is certified according to the ISO 9001 standard by the Slovenian Institute of Quality and Metrology (SIQ).

Authorisations
In the harmonized field of construction products, ZAG has been notified to the European Commission under EU Regulation no. 305/2011 (CPR):
- with the number NB 1404 as a notified certification body (avcp 2+, avcp 1 in avcp 1+) and as a notifed testing laboratory (avcp 3)
- as a body type TAB as a notified technical assessment body
In the national legislative field of construction products, according to the Construction Products Act (ZGPro-1), ZAG has been designated by the relevant ministry:
- as a certification body (avcp 2+, avcp 1 in avcp 1+)
- as a testing laboratory (avcp 3)
- as a body for technical approvals (STS)
The procedures for approving packaging for the transport of dangerous goods are carried out by ZAG under the authority of the relevant ministry under the Transport of Dangerous Goods Act (ZPNB), taking into account the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR):
For the performance of technical inspections of cableway installations under the Cableway Installations for the Transport of Persons Act (ZŽNPO), ZAG has been appointed by the relevant ministry:
