DESCRIPTION:
The standardized laboratory chamber for sound insulation measurements of building elements is intended for determining the sound insulation of partition walls, anti-noise fences, windows, doors and small technical elements against sound in the air, in accordance with the SIST EN ISO 10140 series of standards. The chamber basically consists of two measuring rooms volumes of ~55 m3 and ~52 m3, with an intermediate measuring opening of maximum size of 12.6 m2. The size of the measuring opening for the installation of the door pattern is 1.00 m x 2.13 m, and for the installation of windows it is 1.25 m x 1.50 m. Brüel & Kjær type 2270 and 2260F modular precision sound analyzers, Brüel & Kjær type 4231 sound calibrator, Brüel & Kjær type 3595 sound intensity measurement kit, Brüel & Kjær type 4297 sound intensity calibrator are used for airborne sound insulation measurements. the Brüel & Kjær type 4292 L isotropic sound source and the Brüel & Kjær type 4296 isotropic sound source.
