TITLE:
CROSScade - Cross-border cascading risk management for critical infrastructure in Sava river basin
DESCRIPTION:
CROSScade deals with the analysis of cross-border risks of critical infrastructure in Sava river Basis near the border between Slovenia and Croatia, caused by earthquakes and floods, as well as their possible cascading sequence of events. The project is financed by Union Civil Protection Mechanism (GA No. 101048395) and focuses on the vulnerability analysis of flood protection system, hydropower plant dams and transport infrastructure, which is vital for critical infrastructure managers (CIMs) and civil protection agencies (CPAs) for planning disaster relief operations. The project will deliver a cross-border risk assessment methodology and action plans for increasing the structural resilience of critical infrastructure and for enhancing transboundary communication between CIMs and CPAs.
