TITLE:
H7-8294 Consumer demand for circular urban living: insights from Sweden, Slovenia and the Netherlands
DESCRIPTION:
The project will examine whether and to what extent individuals in different European contexts are willing to pay for housing that promotes sharing. Sharing housing and parts of the building is one possible way to achieve the objectives of the circular economy. The study will use a variety of methods: modelling, surveys and other in-depth qualitative methods. The researchers will work with builders, architects, city authorities and special interest groups to gain insights into existing and upcoming housing projects. Understanding whether, where and among which types of users there is already a demand for circular housing solutions can help to stimulate housing construction by integrating circular principles of use and accelerate the transition towards a sustainable society.
