ETV to improve company’s sustainability

30.01.2024

The requirements of the new CSRD (EU 2022/2464) already affect most Slovenian companies, which are now obliged to report qualitatively and quantitatively on various environmental, social and governance (ESG) challenges. This applies to large companies (and indirectly to their operators in the value chain) as well as to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

One of the 13 mandatory CSRD reporting areas is resource use and the circular economy, which can be complex and quite challenging to implement. The construction sector is known for its environmental footprint, with high resource and energy consumption as well as high waste production, which makes environmental screening all the more important.

LIFEproETV workshop

LIFEproETV project aims to raise awareness of a verification scheme, called Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) scheme, which can be very helpful in the reporting of described above. To this end, the Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute (ZAG) is organizing this Thursday, 15 February 2024, between 9.30 and 12.30, a workshop entitled “How a company can improve its sustainability by using ETV?”. It will focus on the use of the Environmental Technology Verification Scheme (ETV) (SIST EN ISO 14034:2019), which has been present in Europe and around the world for several decades, but is currently one of the lesser-known methods for verifying innovative technologies in Slovenia.

Who is the workshop for?

  • Environmental engineers in companies,
  • Environmental consultancies,
  • Investors and Contracting Authorities (including public procurers),
  • Legislators,
  • Marketers,
  • etc.

Applications are mandatory and are collected via form. The workshop is free and will be held in English.
