International summer school on Nuclear Corrosion was held at Bled, Slovenia from July 5th to July 10th 2015.
The main aim of the summer school was to provide a comprehensive overview of the field of nuclear corrosion. The program was designed in a way that networking and a knowledge transfer from experienced experts to the “young generation” is facilitated. The free time during the morning and evening lecture session allowed plenty of opportunities to engage in various leisure and sport activities.
The NuCoSS-15 was jointly organized by the Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute (ZAG), Paul Scherer Institute (PSI, Switzerland), CEA (France) and the University of Manchester (UK). It was co-organized by the EFC Working party 4 “Nuclear corrosion”. EFC event number is 392.
Altogether 12 well recognized scientist and experts from the nuclear corrosion field gave lectures during five days of the summer school. 24 attendees and also people from the local organizing team were present at the sessions.
Lecturers and attendees have created a very nice and memory full summer school.
